Morgan Mohan has over 19 years’ progressive Human Resource (HR) experience and expertise in Asia Pacific. Motivated to help develop organisations with advanced and value-add ideas, he has led the growth of leading manufacturing, business and HR functional teams across the region.
As an agile and strategic thinker, Morgan’s main area of expertise is in the design and successful implementation of Total Rewards and Internal Mobility strategies. His expanded view and implementation of innovative systems help strengthen the employee value proposition and drive retention, engagement and productivity.
Morgan was most recently HR Director Asia (HCMC, Vietnam) for Neovia Group leading on compensation and benefit projects. He also managed a job mapping project covering eight countries in Asia, mapping 250 positions in 4 months; and wrote an Asia zone compensation benefits policy.
Previous to this, he spent 10 years working in several key positions at Momentive Specialty Chemicals. His final role was as AP Talent Management and L&D Director (Shanghai, China), where he was responsible for the strategic and operational HR in eight countries with over 2500 employees. He led on M&A Integration processes in the Philippines and China; crafted the overall strategic plan, policies and procedures for the organisation; and led the rollout of a regional L&D program that focused on leadership and skills development for over 500 employees across eight countries.
Morgan holds a BSc. Economics and Management from University Science of Malaysia. He currently lives in Ho Chi Minh City and is fluent in English, Bahasa, Tamil, with a good understanding of Mandarin.
