Joel Alexander Ng takes on Senior Partner, Disruption Management, at Lim-Loges & Masters

Ng will help strengthen LLM’s disruption services to clients by using innovation to help them manage disruption and create a competitive edge. Innovation is crucial. Ng is the author of the critically acclaimed book ‘Innovation within GRASP™ – the Ultimate Cheatbook in Innovative Solutioning’, a Practitioner’s Playbook to the GRASP™ solutioning process. It empowers individuals with the essential tools for practical product, process and policy innovations and supports his forward-thinking approach. He has over 20 years of experience in applied design thinking and innovation. Highlights of his career include being the former Innovation Lead at Singapore’s Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for homeland security, where Ng introduced Design Thinking as the foundational language of innovation across the 10 MHA Departments. He was responsible for nurturing and growing the innovation culture and leading national-level projects to promote and improve emergency safety and security standards. Ng was also appointed Senior Business Analyst for Service Design at the Smart Nation and Digital Government Group’s Government Technology Agency (GovTech). His team was responsible for using Service Design to solve wicked real-world citizen-focused issues. With GRASP Guru, Joel has driven impactful change and pivoted organisational transformation to key industries with clients including Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Fujitsu, Fuji Xerox, KLASS Engineering and Solutions, Ministry of Defence (MINDEF), NTUC FairPrice and Singapore Airlines. Ng has IDEO-U certifications in Foundations in Design Thinking, Insights for Innovation, and From Ideas to Action. He was a recipient of the Home Team Achievement Award in 2017 and the Home Team Operational Excellence Award in 2018. He has a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Leading and Sustaining Change. He is an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA)-certified Associate Adult Educator with the Institute for Adult Learning’s Adult Educator Professionalism programme (AEP-AAE), and is also a Ministry of Education (MOE)-certified trainer.
